review 1: What a wonderful story. I really liked the way the author gradually unravelled the plot, and I was completely surprised by the fantastic twist at the end. Magnificent !Actually, it is a story full of surprises - the characters are well developed, with human flaws and weakness, and I always appreciate this. By the end, both Beau and Kyle slipped away from the roles I had anticipated for them, which I found very moving. We all make mistakes, none of us are perfect, and sometimes life can unexpectedly be beautiful.Oh dear God the sex scene is very, very hot. I felt my face contort and frown into what I.suppose was pure lust as I feverishly consumed the pages.I very much liked the descriptive quality of the writing, particularly, I must admit, the physical appearances of the c... moreharacters. There is a kindness and warmth to the story, which appeals very much to a softie like me. I love this author. She never disappoints.
review 2: A star for the simplistic, minimalist cover and another one for being able to spell. This was short. Normally, I would say short and sweet, but this was short. I almost gave it another star for only being a few thousand words long, and free to boot, but that would be misleading as it really isn't worthy of anything higher than two.A 'slave' being 'freed' in this subculture is one of the single most shameful things that can happen. Five minutes spent talking to someone in the know would have instructed the author on just how terrible this short story really is. I couldn't get past how ignorant the author is, and the gall she has to write such fluff-filled rot. It was short though. I liked the length of it. Size matters when something is this bad. less
