review 1: I fully admit when I picked this book up at TEB I was a little skeptical. But it was Kim Dare, so I went with the knowledge that there have been very few of her books that I haven't liked. I'm glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed these characters and their interactions. A situation I initially thought rather...improbable, through excellent internal dialogue and character driven story line gradually became very plausible. The BDSM scenes were hot and well written and by the end I felt I had taken a wonderful journey with a new, uncertain but natural submissive as he began to explore a relationship with an experience Dom and his very first scene. Definitely recommend for lovers of first times, subs in training or of course anyone that has enjoyed Kim Dare's work in the past. Ano... morether fine addition to her G-A-Y series.
review 2: I enjoyed this newest installment in the G-A-Y series just as much as the previous six stories. The opening scene with Jayden practically throwing himself at Crenshaw in what seems like an impulsive act of desperation to be noticed had me laughing. Crenshaw's reticence at having anything to do with the "newbie" submissive is clear, but soon changes into curiosity. I enjoyed the description of both men's reactions to each other and their careful exploration into uncharted territory. The book was funny, but at the same time it did a good job at showing the would-be submissive's thoughts and fears as he begins to experience what he's so far only dreamed about. This was a very fun short read with some interesting insights. less
