review 1: As hot as the three previous books in the Kinky Quikies series, this latest installment is also a touching story about two very different men finally coming together after many years of lusting after each other. The fact that the physically stronger of the two is the submissive in their new relationship makes this all the more interesting.Tim is very intelligent and in charge of his own company at a very young age. He knows he is gay, and may suspect he is a Dom, but he’s never tried to play this role. One look at Damien’s offer has got him extremely interested and determined to give it a try. I love that he tells Damien to call him by his name- Tim clearly wants this to be about the two of them, not about impersonal play.Damien is very insecure, thinks he is stupid, b... moreut he has no doubts about his adoration of Tim. Even though he is submissive, he takes the reins into his hands when the opportunity arises, challenging Tim to take charge. Nobody could be happier than Damien when that is exactly what Tim does.If you are into BDSM stories that are about more than ‘automatic’ submission, if you like seeing two men who have watched each other from afar finally come together and if a more personal type of Dom/sub relationship is your thing, you will probably like this short story as much as I did.
review 2: 4.5 on short stories rating scaleStarted a little rough but everything settled in the right places later on. In the beginning I was thinking that I won't like the characters, but it didn't take long to understand them, their reasoning, feelings. Very well developed characters in a short story. Some can't reach that level of character development in hundreds of pages. That's why the high rating. The only complain is I want more :D.Mild spoilers. The going into slave/master scene was a little rough.I don't think of dom as a better man than a sub. I really didn't like that Damien thinks so. But it goes with the character - he thinks of himself as stupid, inadequate. Not a stereotypical sub or master in this story. This time the dom is new to the scene. less
