review 1: It's more 3,5, but oh well, doesn't have that option. Can't say I hated it, but I liked it far less than the first book, try as I might, I couldn't fall in love with Kane. He was just too pissy and arrogant, I know he changed by the end, but it still doesn't change the things he did. I can understand WHY he did them, but somehow I can't seem to like him. Also I thought Everet was too goody two shoes.... Somehow it all didn't work. But I would love to read a book about the albatross and the hummingbird ^^
review 2: I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first. I hate Hamilton, I hated the whole drug addict plot, and I also had a problem with the lack of progress Ori made in revamping the nest. I mean, to go from bottom of the barrel to Sire, you'd think with the... more help of his Master, he would have made more changes to how bottom-rung avian were treated. Instead, they have cages now? Doesn't make any sense to me. I did like Everet though which is why I'm giving it two stars instead of one... less
