review 1: Loved this book!! At times hard hitting, it never the less, is a story you can't put down. "The Trap" is set in the late sixties through to the hot summer of 1976, a time when I was a young woman and about to become a mother. As such I could relate to the character of Nancy. It tells the tale of the Butler family, a hard, East End family. Queenie is the matriarch, fiercely loyal to her children, despite knowing her eldest son is capable of anything, including murder. Unfortunately for anyone who becomes involved with any of the family, there are repercussions xx
review 2: Wow. First of let me say thanks to goodreads and the author for such a wonderful giveaway. I normally don't read crime fiction that much but this book was absolutely amazing I seriously could ... morenot put it down. There were only a few small details that had me a little baffled but the story of The Butlers was still exciting enough to carry me through to the end. I'd recommend this to anyone who is into crime fiction or mystery books. less
