review 1: I actually loved this book. It was emotional, and raw, and tore my heart into a billion pieces. I loved the characters, and how each one of them was fucked up in a different way, and even though most of the book is Carly's inner dialog, it still kept pulling me in. I can definitely say that this book changed me, and made me think differently - or rather, made me think of things that I've never thought of before, and I think that's beautiful.
review 2: I don't surf and have no interest in it, but the imagery in this book was still captivating. The characters were flawed but real and human. This book was worth the trouble of tracking it down in the US, since it is not widely available here. It's been said in other reviews, but "Raw" really is the perfect word

I didn't understand most of the book. Very weird. Story had lots of holes.
