review 1: It is good to be a woman living in Sector 4 where women are respected & protected by the O'Kane family. But the reason I would love to live in Sector 4 is because women have equal duties with men & are open to find their pleasure & passion, for their bodies & their minds. Noah is a computer hacker from Sector 3 where Emma used to call home. Noah was Emma's brother's best friend & even though Noah has always wanted her, he has often been overprotective of her, not sharing the details of how the situation used to be with Emma's brother. Now he sees how Emma lives as an O'Kane, free to explore her sexuality at their club as well as pursue her skills as a tattoo artist. What makes this story unique is that books 1 -3 were about different women finding their place in Sector 4 w... morehile overcoming their pasts. Noah is more of the central figure here & he has been underground, literally, using his computer skills & didn't even realize he needed Emma as well as a place to call home. This time it is a man finding a place in the world & claiming Emma as his own. He quickly learns how Emma is different now, that she isn't just his, he is hers, and he dreams of having the kind of partnership that Dallas & Lex possess. When they go back to Sector 3 & have a confrontation Noah's first instinct is to get Emma to run. You have to love Emma with her guns blazing taking Noah's back & protecting him! We have some hot action but like Book #3 it is all Noah & Emma with no outside play with other O'Kane family members which is really my favorite scenario. Still great though, and when Noah lets his guard down & wants to show Emma how filthy he likes his bedroom action she surprises him by saying that Noelle would have all four fingers inside her already while telling Jasper to get some lube! That statement right there made the whole book!! :) The book is a novella so there really wasn't a clear ending for our couple. They seem to be solid in their relationship while Noah will be in danger as he fakes working for his old boss while giving information to Dallas & forging his loyalty as an O'Kane.
review 2: The O’Kanes are back, jumping up and down! I love the dark, gritty world that Kit Rocha has created. I think that with each book, the series gets better and better. This novella is somewhat tame compared to the other Beyond books but it’s just as good. It’s about Emma (Ace’s tattoo apprentice) and Noah (the hacker with no ties), who are reunited after four long years. Noah goes to Sector Four to discover his best friends’ sister is all grown up. She’s not the sweet innocent girl he left behind; she’s a tough sexual O’Kane now. Emma and Noah have an intense chemistry right from the start, which leads to some extremely steamy scenes. For being a novella, there is a lot going on between the O’Kanes, other sectors and Eden. I’m super excited to see where Kit Rocha takes me next. Beyond Jealousy can’t come fast enough. less
