review 1: I've been reading it while on leave for the past 2 days, I'm not sure if it's because I'm sick or it just not caught my interest...I get bored since it felt like reading the same (sex) scenario of the first book then mixed the drama to have some spice!Well, some piece of unsolicited adviced for Ms. Kitty French, a lot of books offered the same, you have to make it more convincing, more imaginable fiction and build the characters.
review 2: 3.5 starsContinues where book 1 left off, but with a slight switch in tone. Dan is back, and the reality of her affair has left Sophie with a lot of emotional and practical decisions to make about her life with Dan and a possible future with Lucien, especially given his push-pull response to her. There was a lot more emotiona... morel depth to this book than to book 1, without so much of the urgency and unexpectedness. I both enjoyed and was frustrated by it. I sympathized with Sophie and Lucien as they slowly worked to overcome their personal demons, was annoyed by Dan's unwillingness to grow up, and honestly wondered how the author could bring it all to a HEA in a way that would make sense to me -- but she did, so yay to that. less

I enjoyed this book even more than the first one. I loved reading how Lucien is fighting with his demons and how Sophie gives everything she is so she can help Lucien with his emotional problems.Unfortunately, Dan (Sophie's husband) fell even lower in my eyes. His behavior was appalling and I was really glad that Sophie sent him away.Definitely a good read for a quite night at home :)
