Cat DeLuca Mysteries
review 1: The book is hilarious, with the main character seriously trying to solve a mystery that no one else seems to want to believe. Cat DeLuca owns an agency designed to help women catch their liar, liar pants on fire cheating husbands. When she's hired for one case, the man she's trailing denies being married, and is caught in an explosion. However; he continues to mysteriously pop up calling her DeLucky but no one else see's or hears any of these hidden moments. We find a large Italian family in Chicago who believe she is crazy, but do not find it crazy at all to give a funeral to a car that was blown up. This would make a great sitcom.
review 2: This is a debut by 3 sisters writing as KJ Larsen. It is a total clone of Stephanie Plum and her crazy, sexy adventures
... more but I gave it a 5 because it was just as good as Evanovitch (and that's saying something because I LOVE her books). The minor changes involve her work as a PI who does exclusively cheater-catching work instead of bond enforcement; cop brothers instead of cop boyfriend; a dog instead of a hamster - and a few more. The plot was good, the dialogue funny, the 2 sexy guys, well . . . sexy, etc. If a clone bothers you, you will be very bothered. If you enjoy a good, entertaining story and can ignore the clone part, you will love it. less
