review 1: Widow's Revenge, by K.L. Fogg, is the second book in the Serpent Tide series. The story in this is a little overdone, though well pulled off for the target audience, elementary school students. The Suspension of Disbelief is shattered a few times, and has trouble rebuilding itself, but the book contains good values and a romantic style. The characters may not be believable, but they are very likable.I would recommend this book for third to sixth graders and those looking for a quick read. If you are a fast reader, this will provide a few hours of entertainment.
review 2: I loved this book just as much as the first in the series, it was just as funny and just as creative and new as before. I love Jack Mackey's character, and I get a hoot out of some of the thing
... mores he'll say or do. And I love his relationship with Maggie. The characters are all so lovable and I love how there are always a few surprise twists that you don't expect thrown in there. Such a fun book for anyone to read! less
