I have a soft spot for Australia. The landscape, the food, the weather. It’s the country where I truly enjoyed living and met the most wonderful people in my life. There are so much beautiful places here and Tasmania is one of them. I visited this rather underrated holiday destination twice and I love it so much I wish I’m rich enough to buy a holiday home there.
Below is my itinerary for my second visit, 4 days road trip in Tasmania.
Cradle Mountain National Park

Where to stay:
There are plenty of nice hotels and AirBnB in Tasmania, and some of them offers the most fantastic views showcasing the best of their respective area. If you want to go for moderately priced and reliable though, choose Ibis or Mantra.
The most memorable accommodation for me is this AirBnB owned by lovely Christina. Located at Four Mile Creek, the house is super clean, cosy and decorated beautifully. We sat by the huge window for hours just watching the endless waves crashed again and again.

My biggest regret is not to stay in these awesome Accommodation: Thalia Haven. It was sold out during my trip. Maybe someday I’ll go to Tasmania again – third time’s the charm. (Photo credit to Thalia Haven’s website)

What to eat:
If you asked me what is the best food that we’ve had in Tasmania (I know this sounds weird, but hey I’m an Asian by blood and at heart) it’s gonna be Me Wah, located at Hobart and Launceston. Serving contemporary Chinese cuisines, this is by far the best Chinese food I’ve ever tasted in my life (seriously though, I’m not being dramatic here). I don’t have the photos because honestly I forgot my camera when the foods were served. Do make a reservation one day before (http://www.mewah.com.au/), otherwise you won’t get any table. Not to be missed is an oyster party at Get Shucked, Bruny Island (sorry the pic is a bit blurry). We tried all the kilkpatrick and the asian fusion, they are to die for!
