review 1: I really enjoyed My Life at the MBRC - I've now read through it a couple of times along with the sequel. I can't remember which book it is (this one or it's sequel), but kudos to the author for writing about vampires, werewolves, centaurs, other magical creatures, and being able to add a reference to Fiddler on the Roof! I still laugh out loud at some of the things that happen and comments characters make in this book. It's a thoroughly enjoyable, light read. It has a little of everything in it - some drama, light romance, humor - heavy on the humor, in the best way possible but keeping it all in clean fun. I've read several other books from K.M. Shea that I like equally well and she's quickly becoming a favorite author - I would really like to see her work in physical pri... morent. I'm really looking forward to the release of Rumpelstiltskin and the 4th book in her King Arthur series.
review 2: Guys...guys this was SUCH a fun, entertaining novel. Granted there was some editing gaffs that were hard not to notice ("senior smith" instead "senor smith" for instance.) and Madeline got on my nerves a bit. Also, and I don't really say this often so take it to heart readers, but this MAY have benefitted from being broken up into multiple books. A Duology at least, a trilogy quite possibly and I think if this had been traditionally published they would have asked for as much.In essence this could be broken into 3 or so different parts. The first part is when Morgan first learns about the MBRC and sort of interns there for a while. The second part when she begins tutoring Asahi and the third part when she's ahh...well kidnapped. While the different stages of her experiences all came together well, I could see how it could be broken apart as well.Full review to be posted at Poisoned Rationality less

This book needs a serious editor and to be turned into a series. Cute and fun.
