review 1: I absolutely adore Kristen Ashley,....ordinarily I would not read anything with vampires, but as I said, I love Kristen Ashley so much that I go through withdrawals waiting for her to release a new book....so I broke down and read this. As always, Lucien is super hot alpha man to the max (plus)....unfortunately, Leah just was not stacking up to other KA heroines.... I found her whiny, immature ( and she's 40!), and at times completely annoying. I could have forgiven this if she was 20 something, but the whole 40 thing blew me away. (So I pretended it was a typo...made it a little more palatable...okay, I wasn't really reading the book for her, it was for the super hot Lucien...) as always, KA spins a great story, even when one isn't "in" with a particular genre, if you lov... moree KA like I do, you will love this story.
review 2: I don't know why I held off on reading this book. If it's KA, you know it's going to be good, and of course, it is.Great story. Great H/h- lots if chemistry and steam. Great secondary characters as well. I love KA books because although most of her books are part of a series, she doesn't leave us hanging with a miserable cliffhanger and this one is no different. Yes the storyline does continue but the "love story" has a HEA.Even if your not a huge vampire/paranormal fan, if you like KA books then you will like this one too. Yes, the characters are vampires but they are still alpha bad-asses. less
