review 1: Penmort Castle by Kristen AshleyThis is surprisingly one of my favorite Kristen Ashley novels. I say that because so many negative comments were made about the ghosts and the haunted castle. I almost didn't read the book. Thankfully I did, so I digress.Kristen Ashley is an amazing writer. In this novel she drew me in immediately beginning with the first page. I'm so glad that God blessed her to write these crazy and heartfelt romances. The story is about a man, Cash Fraser, who needs a pretend girlfriend. The pretend girlfriend, Abby Butler, is supposed to live with him for a short while and play a role that is believable to onlookers. They are not supposed to get attached. They're not supposed to fall in love...but things happen in the story that neither of them expect. He... more's unavailable and detached, not looking for love, but it comes anyway. She's a little lost and her world's been turned upside down, she'd never admit that she needs him. There is family drama, pain to overcome, and a haunted house. I don't want to give too much detail and ruin the story for you. The book is long. Most of her books are rather long. This was a fun read and I enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend this book to you. I recommend any Kristen Ashley book. She is one of the best story tellers of all time.
review 2: Another story that I fell in love with the characters. Cash and Abby have had horrible luck, but through circumstances that included Abby selling herself to Cash. That bright idea was her best friend's. Not sure what Jenny was thinking of....I did like the characters in this story Mrs. Truman was awesome! However, there was quite a few times that I wanted to swat Cash, Abby, & Jenny up side the head for being stupid, but it is part of the reason I love them. One complaint, the epilogue was skimpy!!! I need more details!! less

The romance was good, the storyline was ridiculous. Still, it made for good laughs.
