review 1: Interesting dynamic between Chelsey and Daisy. Definitely understood Daisy's love for Chelsey, but felt that Chelsey was more in lust. Their first meeting after eight years (before Daisy knows who the Pirate Dread is) was a bit uncomfortable for my taste. I fully support Daisy's anger over those events.I couldn't understand Chelsey's anger when Daisy figured out who she was. She abandoned Daisy for eight years, and was upset that Daisy had possibly moved on? I get that Chelsey's plan for coming back for her didn't work out at first, but I agreed with Daisy when she questioned why she couldn't have written.I was so happy when Daisy finally flipped and stood up for herself. It was in that argument that I truly understood both characters emotions. As I said before, the dy... morenamic between the two women was an interesting one. I just wish it was explored deeper a bit earlier in the book so it could have been enjoyed more.
review 2: It's an extremely easy read... I finished it in a few hours. In my opinion it's a superficial novel. You read it and you get nothing from it. Well, to be fair, the erotic scenes were pretty interesting and well written. It's not an awful read if you don't mind all the stereotypes... and this book is full of them from the awesome and fearsome pirate (who is a she) who kidnaps the beautiful and naive damsel in distress just to save her in the end to the gold digging evil husband-to-be. The writing is acceptable, I just found the entire book just too predictable. less
