review 1: *WILL PROBABLY CONTAIN SPOILERS* Okay. First let me just say....I don't honestly know anything that happened in this book. First there was something about basically an arranged marriage to help unite clans, then there is a brother who's not even really a brother.....but there actually is a brother....that nobody knows about...who's evil. Really?! Like I said, I don't honestly know. I can say with certainty that I feel Lily and Julia are extremely juvenile. I don't know if it's just me that thinks that but honestly I feel like I'm reading a story with two fourteen year olds rather then two almost grown women at eighteen years old. Just some of the things that they say and how they act get to me.Also, the entire time I read this book every time Tharin's name was said all I c... moreould think of was Thorin Oakenshield from 'The Hobbit' I know I know. Not really important, but hey, they did say their favorite movie was 'Star Trek' and 'Lord of the Rings'.When I finished the first book I really truly wasn't going to get the second one but when Ziri kidnapped her I felt like maybe I should try to figure out just what the heck is actually going on in this book. So I did what I told myself I want going to do.....I bought the second one.
review 2: This book is so well written. It grips you fight from the start and doesn't let go!! Lily's life is totally ripped apart when she is attacked while out running only to realize that her attacker is her long missing brother. When Tharin and Tolan rescue her she is greatful but stunned when they tell her she is a Sidhe Princess and she must go with them to Velesie to marry Tharin and prevent a war. With the help of her best friend Julia, Lily sets out to save her brother and figure out her place in the Elven world. I couldn't put this book down and can't wait to start the next in the series!! less
