review 1: Having assumed that I had indeed read this book I went ahead and read The Whispering next so I had them out of order. I wanted to read Book 2 to really flesh out the scenes I missed and get a better understanding of the story. I had plenty of "lightbulb" moments where things clicked because of this mistake and yet it was still an enjoyable read. Lily really starts to stand up for herself in this book although her interactions with Tharin were abit "wishy washy" to say the least. He needed a good swift kick up the backside and to get his priorities right concerning his love life. As for Kalis, well talk about a lover spurned and she was a bitch to Lily but if Tharin had earned Lily's trust it all could have been avoided though the story would be a lot shorter. Julia and Tol... morean seemed to be having problems too and it illustrates how communication and trust are so important in any relationship. While it was not my favourite book in this series it sets us up nicely for the third instalment and kept me turning the pages to see what happened next.
review 2: Rating: 4.5 starsThis book was way better than the first one, and I am absolutely hooked. I love the world that the author creates and the characters are incredible. I love Lily and I'm loving the way the story is unfolding. Once I started reading it I found it impossible to put down. I am anxiously counting down until book 3 in the Trilogy is released so that I can find out what happens next. less

Enjoying the story as a whole but getting tired of the constant battles and running.
