review 1: The first time Olivia sees Ethan the unexpected happens……she doesn’t know what to say and just freezes. She doesn’t know how to react. Hmmmmm. You see, Olivia wasn’t the type of girl that dreamed of the perfect wedding or mooned over some cute guy. She had a plan. Graduate high school, attend college. She didn’t want to stray from that plan.You see…Olivia doesn’t want to give in and believe in promises that won’t be kept. She has seen too many broken promises around her in and among her family and friends. Is it really worth all the pain that it causes? She doesn’t think so and walks away from Ethan.So now we flash ahead a couple of years and see Olivia in college. She’s still living by the same rule of no attachments, nothing serious and just have fu... moren. Of course by now you can guess who shows his pretty little head. Is it fate that he keeps popping up when you least expect it? I was always rooting for the two of them to finally get together but maybe they both had to go through all these trials first in order to truly “be together”. I think it ended up making them both stronger.This story was very touching and I just want to say a big “Thank you!” for the opportunity to read and review the book. I truly enjoyed reading about Olivia and Ethan.
review 2: Great debut novel by L.A. Cotton. I absolutely love the cover and I enjoyed the story line. There were several times I wished I could personally tell Olivia to wake up and grab the true love that was right in front of her before it got away. A person can only take so much rejection, and I was worried Ethan had hit his breaking point at one part in the book. And Ethan...swoon...who wouldn't want a man like Ethan? This book grabbed my attention and kept it throughout the story. And I always love a happily ever after. less
