review 1: I must say this book was MUCH better than the first! It still had the one apostrophe thing in the dialogue that BUGS me, but I am willing to make exceptions for a good book. Where I felt the first book had very little going on for how lengthy it was; this book had a TON of action packed adventure that ended too soon! These books are complete opposites it the general plot and structure, but the story line in each book held my attention even if I feel that the second book was certainly an improvement on all the failures of the first book! I would certainly recommend this book and series. So if you dislike the first book and are wondering if you should read this one: DO IT! You will not be displeased! Now, the question remains, will there be a third bo... moreok???
review 2: My only complaint about this book was that the ending was too vague. I couldn't tell whether the story was finished, or whether the author intended to write another book in this series. As a result the ending felt half-baked. The rest of the story was great, and the author did tie up the loose ends of the plot central to the main story. She left enough of a mystery about Glory's future to make me question whether it was finished though. If this is the last one, I'm a little miffed the loose ends around Glory's family weren't tied off though. There are several still dangling on that front. less
