review 1: A will they/won't they story of epic proportions, to the point where I was shouting 'Oh just get on with it!' at it. I'm all for a bit of titillation and suspense, and I know life likes to mess people around, but I was really losing my patience by the end. That said, I did enjoy the ride. I love a bit of dual perspective, and Alex and Holly both had great voices. I even liked the flashbacks, and I'm not a big fan of the flashback in general. They were pertinent and scattered enough though that they did their job without intruding on the present too much. A nice light-hearted British rom-com, and a good holiday read.
review 2: I absolutely adored this book from the second I started reading it. I'd seen people talking about it on Twitter and was reminded of the o... morether book I read years ago which was alternate chapters by the man and the woman (Come Together by Josie Lloyd & Emlyn Rees - also well worth a read). It actually took me ages to read as I didn't want it to end. Loved all the characters and I hope Laura and Jimmy keep writing together! less
