review 1: I FINALLY finished this book after starting it about a month ago. I received this book through a Giveaway. For me, I can usually finish a book in about 2-3days. That being said, I think that the story started off pretty strong and got me interested straight away. Then in the middle it just started getting so depressing that I couldn't read it for more than an hour or two a day. I think that the Eli Rowan story line was very sweet and wish that it was more of the focal point for the book.
review 2: Where to begin........unless this author went through an experience like this one, it is hard to believe how well written the story was about a grief stricken daughter and her mother. The author must have done a ton of research to actually capture the emotional roll... moreer coaster that this story takes you on. I wasn't like most reviewers speaking of tears while reading, but maybe that's because I'm in my late 60's and experience life differently than someone younger. Very well written book and highly recommended. less
