review 1: The basic premise of someone being murdered and the friend going to find out who did was fine if slightly implausible. Sadly, I found the story jumped about a bit and petered out towards the end and I lost interest. The main character ends up in a predicament and lo! the good old cops suddenly appear from nowhere to rescue him. I am not sure if this is due to poor editing or what. Quite disappointing really.
review 2: A great relief after the last book I've read.. Even though it's not really a treasure hunt like they say, it's a real page turner.. ... moren about them.. The author seems to be in a hurry to finish the story.. From the very beginning we feel we will see some treasure the next moment but in vain.. 3.5 is my rating but as there is no such option I give 4 because this one deserves better than 3. less

Pretty good book. I've been to Istanbul and the writer did a great job at capturing the city.
