review 1: I really wanted to like this book and I felt it could have been a great read, however I could not get past the start and stop. The author would start a paragraph and I would start to get into the story finally and then bam she would switch to a whole other thing mid sentence and completely loss me. I will read the other books in the series eventually to see where it goes, but I'm in no hurry and I really wish that weren't the case.
review 2: ***some mild spoilers here...I tried to be vague as I could but didn't want to hide my review*** Finally got to read the 1st book of this series and liked it even better than the 2nd book I had already read! This was less about agency work and more about romance, so I just connected to it more. It had plenty of action an... mored stuff, but got into the romance portion of the story much faster than the 2nd book. I enjoyed meeting the old characters for the 1st time and learning more about the characters mentioned in the 2nd book in passing too. Really looking forward to reading the 3rd and 4th in this series as well. Loved the fact that the female lead in this one was human and male was vamp as there was more tension due to the fact he could kill her. Will say that I missed being able to witness her biting him or a changling being created. Sort of felt robbed of that and that is the main reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars. That was a HUGE part of the story and it got totally passed over, as did the entire marriage and a whole year of their life together. boo! LOL Other than that though, GREAT read. FANTASTIC sex scenes and lots of great plot development and characters that were very well flushed out. Highly recommend to anyone into the supernatural/vamp romance genre. less
