review 1: In my re-reading until I get a new Desire book, Submission came up next on the menu. I knew some people weren't happy with the book the first time around from the reviews, but I loved it! The way Royce, King and Brenna express themselves is where this book is a huge winner for me. Yes, there is a lot of sex, but the entire book basically takes place solely in a sex club with two of the owner Dom's. Yes, there is a lot of dominance acts, but again, two Dom's, and the sub is pushed to and beyond her limits, but she needs to know if this is the life for her. Brenna thrives in the environment, learns her own strengths and how much she needs what Royce and King give her,all day, every day - another HEA for Desire residents!!
review 2: 3.5 starsThis has probably been... more my least favourite of the bunch and I think it was the lack of communication between Royce, King, and Brenna that made the story a tad confusing and haphazard. As Dom's it wasn't something I was expecting and honestly....I was disappointed because of it.All fought their feelings for all they were worth and this dishonestly made an impact in all they dealings together. I'm just not sure I believed that Brenna would have been willing to submit in the way Royce and King needed (for long anyway) and I'm not sure they believed she would either.As always, the sex scenes were smokin' and frequent but that doesn't change the fact I barely knew any of the main characters.Oh, and what is happening with Jake and Nat?????? less
