review 1: This and its other two counterparts have to be my absolute favorite books. They perhaps are for a younger audience, maybe 13/14 year olds, but I could still read them. They are the only saga that I could read a hundred times over and still enjoy them. They have so many genres within them: romance, dark romance, adventure, fantasy, fairy tale, young adult, comedy, etc.. I would recommend them to anyone. Both genders. I love Luca so much..my first book boyfriend.
review 2: It was interesting. There were several spelling/grammatical errors, and others like when 'Soren' had spoken when it was actually Raphael, cos Soren wasn't there, being incarcerated at the time. There was also one or two horrifically gaping holes in the storyline - like Soren just roaming about
... morebeing an angel/vampire hybrid? I mean - how did no one notice something was up? And Gabriel, being an angel, not only had a child with a vampire, but consorted with a mortal? And the murder of his family, in reaction to the news, was a bit much. I mean if he was a werewolf then I could understand, cos they have that anger/impulse thing, right? But draining all of them? What?! And I had no clue what the characters were trying to accomplish or what their plan was. Like Rapheal? He seemed to overreact since all he wanted was answers. And Lowe? Unnecessarily angry, I thought. Jane made some pretty stupid mistakes too - running around on her own in some dangerous world. But, I loved Soren's character, and Luca was sweet. And at least it was smooth paced, none of it dragged on - apart from Raphael's chapters at times. It was a standard read, though there were times when I just had to ask "but...why?" or "but...how?". The dialogue drew me in, though at times was unrealistic, especially between the boys. I'll be reading Dark Heart Surrender though, cos I wanna see how it all ends! A satisfactory read, if all you want is action and love less
