Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’m Looking Forward to in 2018

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s topic is: Books I’m Looking Forward to In 2018

These books are just books I want to read in 2018. They’re not new releases because I don’t generally bother with anything like that.

  • The Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan – I want to reread the first book before I read this book. I also want to read the sequel to this book, The Ship of the Dead.
  • Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs – I also want to read Hollow City.
  • Hag-Seed by Margaret Atwood – The Tempest is one of my favourite Shakespeare plays so I’m really interested in Atwood’s interpretation.
  • Women & Power by Mary Beard – I want to read more nonfiction and I’m looking forward to this.
  • Flappers and Philosophers by F. Scott Fitzgerald – I got this for Christmas (yay!) and it was Fitzgerald’s first short story collection.
  • Bonfire by Krysten Ritter – I just saw this in my local bookshop and looked up the synopsis and decided that I wanted to read.
  • Nevernight by Jay Kristoff – This is another book I got for Christmas and I can’t wait to read it.
  • Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman – Do I need an excuse to read more Neil Gaiman books?
  • American Assassin by Vince Flynn – I need to read this before I watch the film, which comes out on DVD in the middle of January, because I’m one of those people that has to read the book before watching a film.
  • Three Moments of an Explosion by China Miéville – I’ve wanted to read this collection of short stories for a while.
