The Deadly Games Series
review 1: This is the second in the Deadly Games Series..I had read the 3rd one first, so I got caught up on the characters..Each book can be read alone. This one is about Madison McKinley. She is the sister to Logan who you will meet in the 1st of this series. Madison is being stalked - byher dead husband! The police in Savannah, just don't believe her and don't really follow up on the calls. Meanwhile in GA, the Simon Says killer is striking and they are on the case, so they have little time to worry about a "crazy" woman thinking her dead husband is still around!FBI Agent - Pierce Buchanan - who worked with her brother Logan on the"He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not" murderer, met Madison and fell in lovewith her. Pierce comes to help Madison and is the only one that believes her. But a... morell the evidence piling up - bodies in Madison's back yard, the death of her father, all point to Madison.I really love this author and can't wait until the 4th installment of this series comes out!!
review 2: This is the first book I've read by Diaz, and I flew through it. I didn't want to put it down. Romantic suspense is my favorite genre, so this book was right up my alley. She had me from the beginning, with a fast paced opening and strong hook. I'm a bit surprised by those who said they didn't like the heroine. For me, I enjoyed that she didn't do as she was told, was strong and at the same time was flawed by her own emotional issues. I didn't read her as being selfish or self-centered, just the opposite, but she had problems showing her true feelings--I saw that as a plus, not a minus. And the hero is beyond loveable. His relationship with his family was a nice touch, and I'd enjoy seeing more about them in later books. I also enjoyed the fact that there were a lot of twists and turns that kept you wanting to keep reading, as opposed to it being totally straight forward. Romantic suspense reads can become repetitive with similar story lines, but this was one a fresh edge and unique voice that I would recommend. less
