review 1: I enjoyed this, just not quite as much as He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not, and the reason for that lies in Madison McKinley I'm afraid. She was a little annoying and reckless in the first novel, but that didn't really detract from my enjoyment as she stayed in the periphery. In this however her immaturity became a real issue. Yes, the author did give reasons for her behaviour, however she is supposed to be about 29 years old and to have been through several traumatic events that I would have expected to have matured her, but unfortunately didn't! I felt sympathy for Pierce when he was aggravated with her and irritation with her and when she stated before she married she had wanted someone to spoil and indulge her I felt that fast-forwarding 5 years nothing had changed (at one... more point she stamps her foot when she can't get her own way!) It's personal preference but I prefer to read about relationships that are partnerships and this one wasn't! Excellent writing and story though, the heroine just did't work for me!
review 2: I liked Madison and Pierce in the previous book by Lena Diaz. As the book opened I was excited to see that it was about them, then the story unfolds and I was captivated by the storyline and the emotions of the pair. It is even better than her previous book, which was great! The twists and turn kept me guessing on who was after her. This is a good story to read that allows you to leave your troubles of the real world. I give this book a five and anticipating her next book!! less

Pretty good book but a bit slow and did not flow as well as I would have liked.
