review 1: No stāsta par skarbu un skumju tēmu autore izveidojusi interesantu lasāmvielu. Lai gan sižets ik pa brīdim lika nodomāt "hmm, jā kā tad!" un Bellas rīcība, lēmumi un uzvedība lika saķert galvu un jautāt, kam vēl ir jānotiek, lai liktu viņai pārdomāt, vai tiešām rīkojas pareizi, no grāmatas īsti nevarēju atrauties un lasīju ar interesi. Tā kā ķēros pie šīs grāmatas, jo ieintriģēja turpinājuma "Solījums" apraksts, bet lasīt otro daļu pirms pirmās daļas nebūtu forši, tagad mana to-read lista augšgalā pavisam noteikti būs arī "Solījums".
review 2: I had previously read Stolen and the summary of this book seemed very interesting. I wouldn't normally read books like this, I'm more of a dystopian reader, however after re... moreading through the tramatic events Belle had to endure I'm looking forward to the sequel, The Promise, to see how her life turned out afterwards and hopefully a happier one too! Definitely give this one a try, though as a warning if you have not read any books by LP it's quite explicit. less
