review 1: Can't decide if I can recommend this book or not. Half way through I wasn't sure about it at all. Finishing it, I appreciate it more. But it's not for everyone. The main character's morals leave a lot to be desired, but then again, it makes sense given her circumstances. Too much sex for my taste, though it's not particularly graphic. But then again, it's a key part of the story and the character development. Enjoyed the read despite.
review 2: This is a delicious comedy of a novel. It's witty and so very honest. A delightful read.The cathouse is a great fantasy item. I found it hard to credit as a reality, best left to the pleasure of fantasy and just got on with enjoying the book.The writing style is both snappy and smooth. The central character Barb is unpre... moredictable by nature and the storyline is happily unpredictable as well, apart from the sense that all was bound to end well as she was sure to come out fighting.I loved it. less
