review 1: I thought this book was really good. It was full of exciting moments. At the end of every chapter it would leave you wondering what was going to happen next. I liked how I could picture the story in my head while I was reading it. I think I could relate more to this story then I could any other story I've read. This book is realistic fiction. It took place at a middle school in modern times. It's about a girl and her adventure through their parents divorce, moving, and getting a pet. I think this is one of the best books I have ever read! I hope Leslie Margolis adds to this series!
review 2: A good book that I wouldn't hesitate to put in the hands of any 8- to 12-year-old girl. The plot and characters are entirely believable, and definitely gave me flashbacks t... moreo middle school. There are good friends and false ones, as well as realistic struggles for a family that is essentially good and loving. I haven't read the first book in this series and thought this one stood on its own just fine. As an adult, I didn't absolutely love this book, but that's ok. If you are an adult who enjoys good kid/teen fiction, there are more compelling choices.
