review 1: this book is good but it was kind of not for me. I mean I get the gist of the story and all but i was not very entertained. She could just not lie to people, she just had to show her true self to them so the others would not get mad when they find out about it. it is just so dramatic but aside from that, I guess I liked the book because it is about considering options. I would have never thought she would be a lesbian and was not sure of it.
review 2: Ava, the main character, hoped that at the new school she attended, she would have better friends. She wanted to make the students perceive her like a normal girl. Secretly, she wanted to wear pink and like boys, not constrain herself to her black and gray room, wardrobe, and life. The author did an amazing job at
... more incorporating the modern culture. By doing this, she allowed the readers to understand the plot and the setting of the book due to its similarity to today's culture. I loved the clarity of the writing and easily understandable path of the book. The ending of the book was slightly abrupt and predictable. less
