review 1: This book is so cute and sweet. It starts off with a bet made within the billionaires club between some billionaire bachelors. The bet is to win the helicopter and helipad on the roof of their exclusive club if they don’t find love before one of them, Miles, gets married on Sanctuary Island where they all have to stay. They are all players, so they are all willing to bet on it. They are each given tasks for the wedding. This book focuses on Leo. He is an actual British Lord. He is quite poetic in his language and is tasked to a reading for the wedding. But there is a teeny problem with that. So, Leo sets out on this island where the wedding is set to be in a few weeks to find the library and librarian to help him. He didn’t expect to find the librarian to be young, be... moreautiful and caring. He tells her what he needs for the wedding and that he wants a fling while they are at it. She accepts. Sex fades to black in this book. But, in the end the Librarian, Serena, is hurt and Leo is also hurt. But they both have feelings for each other. So you have to read to find out if Leo has lost his chance at winning the helicopter and pad. Leo is adorable; He has an accent, is poetic and is utterly charming. Who wouldn’t want that?? Serena is smart sweet and caring and she figures out Leo’s secret but even though she is hurt, she helps him anyway. This is really a cute story. Ok, I know I said it enough already, but it is. It is an easy read for when you want something fun and short to read in between books and when you want something to lift you up a little. I look forward to reading the other bachelors stories and watching the magic of the island create some love in the air.
review 2: A short romance novella. It packs everything you want from a romance into a small container. This is the first of a trilogy of novella's and I'm already into the second. It's got a great setting, and the brief time you get to spend with the characters is enough to make them real without going over the top. It's a polished piece of work with all the ingredients you want in a romance; strong woman, rich, good looking man, big house near a beach. Damn! I need a vacation!I seems this is not the new author I thought she was...Lily Everett is really Louisa Edwards. less
