review 1: Wonderful characters, very romantic story that isn't your usual MC book.Mainly this is the story of Mac and Vi, two kids who have grown up in a MC club, whose fathers are best friends. Mac is seven years older than Vi, who is seventeen when the book starts. Vi has had a crush on Mac for years, but she is very shy, has ADD and a reading disability. Her dad has worked with her for years to bring her out of her shell, but her Mom doesn't accept that she has a disability and just thinks she isn't trying hard enough. Lack of her mother's love has really hurt Vi.Mac finally begins to "see" Vi as a woman but realizes she is just too young to start a relationship with him (plus her dad would kill him). Mac takes Vi under his wing and starts teaching her "how to be a woman." ... moreWell, lets just say that Vi fits right into the MC life because she just can get enough of Mac and his "teachings." This girl wants to know everything and wants it now. Its hard for Mac (just a wonderful guy) to get her to slow down. Some of these scenes are really funny.Mac sees that Vi loves to draw so he steers her in the direction of training with one of the best tattoo artists in the business. This just cracks Vi's world wide open. She can use her art and doesn't need to worry about her shyness or her difficulty in reading and comprehension. She becomes a super successful tattoo artist.Mac and Vi have some bumps on their happy road of life. Most notably Mac and a few other MC brothers are caught smuggling drugs and guns and wind up in prison. It is a test for both of them, but love can get you through a lot of ordeals.A really good read.
review 2: I liked this one almost as much as the first book.Mac, the hero, was probably the sweetest criminal biker I'd ever in an MC romance.Bear, the heroine's dad, was such a great dad. I really liked his character.I liked that Violet, the heroine, had ADD and was dyslexic. The way her art and problems evolved into her becoming a tattoo artist was interesting. I also liked reading about all the behind the scenes stuff of going into that profession. There was a little of the dark side of being in an MC, but not as much as the first book and I kind of missed that. Can't wait for more of this series. less
