review 1: I give this book a good solid 3 1/2 stars. Overall, I give the series a 4 but this last book was a bit too long, in my opinion. It seemed to drag in spots and yet hurry too fast in others. I loved some of the plot twists (like going back to change the outcome of the American Revolution -- crazy to think about the consequences that one event would have on everyone in the world). But other plot twists just left me confused and wondering, "what every happened to so-and-so" or "how did they get out of there?" etc. But all in all a series that I enjoyed and characters that I found fun and believeable. Time travel still leaves me scratching my head in puzzlement at times, but maybe that is my fault more than the book's. Or maybe it is because it is totally impossible and doesn't... more really make sense :)
review 2: I mostly trudged through this series hoping Linda Archer-Buckley would stay clear of the cliche time traveling tropes, but no. This scored some hefty minus points by the end of the book. I wanted to like it, but I really was bored by the slow-moving pace and lack of thrilling events. The characters were mediocre. I didn't care about them. Lord Luxon was perhaps the most interesting, particularly in this last book, but even his storyline ends up just "meh." less

Not all Harry Potter lovers will love this book. It was boring and predictable.

A great ending (though a little abrupt) to an excellent trilogy!
