review 1: THe second in the series continues along the same trend as the first book- so if you liked that, you will love this and if you didn't...well, maybe skip this book. Just as the first had lots of humor, silly situations and love triangle tension, so does this one. Ciel is trying to pick up some easy money by doing a job at the zoo, when it turns out Billy's kid sister Molly has started the ablity to adapt. Unfortunately she can turn into animals, something no other has ever been able to do, and now she's stuck that way. As Ciel and Billy call in help from their extended family, things get even more complicated when Billy is implicated for murder and forced to go on the run to clear is name. Who can be trusted- especially when you have a chimp-slash-kid in tow? We get more hu... moremor, and more of Ciel's extended family including all of her brothers and parents to boot, and we get more depth to the love triangle as Billy and Ciel consider trying to make things work in a relationship. But for Ceil, who's never been in a relationship before, to trust that Billy has turned form his playboy ways is hard- especially when her childhood crush, Mark, is warning her away, all while seeming to make his own interest known. I love this series and the fun the characters have with each other most. I enjoyed this easy, guilty-pleasure read and hope for more in the series.
review 2: Ciel is one of a small group of people who have a genetic ability to assume the aura of others, enabling them to impersonate people perfectly. She's torn between her growing romantic interest in her honorary cousin, the charming Billy, and her long-time crush on a CIA man who was a college roommate of her elder brother. When Billy's sister Molly develops a precocious ability and finds herself stuck in the persona of a baby orangutang, Ciel wants to help. But the shootings that follow convince her that there's something dangerous happening. less
