review 1: This sweet, contemporary western-style book set in Montana has all the elements of a great romance story and then some: the way Miller fleshes out not just the main guy and gal, but also the family dynamics involved makes for a satisfying read. Does it adhere to some of the cliches in romance? Maybe, but Miller has a unique way of using language to deftly yet dramatically tell a story that will have your heart 100% absorbed in the characters and their predicaments. And believe me when I say, the heroine's predicament in this novel is a "humdinger," as a cowboy might say. Casey's challenge - How do you reveal to your two young adolescent kids who their real father is, and then make a family out of the emotional wreckage that results? It's not easy, but these characters have... more drive and determination and by the end of it you'll feel like you know them well.
review 2: This is not one of the better books in this series IMO. My primary negative is that I didn't really like Casey. She came across as selfish and un-decisive and I felt she treated Walker unfairly. I liked Walker but was irritated that he wanted Casey even though she was so selfish. The plot also felt rushed to me. It wasn't a bad novel, I just felt that it was a step down from the prior books in the series. 2 1/2 stars for me. less

Good if a bit far fetched that in this day an age this could've been kept a secret so long.
