review 1: This was a charming circular story about generosity. Oskar wants to give his mother the perfect gift. He buys a rose (perfect!) but an artist needs it. So Oskar trades for a paintbrush (perfect!) which he trades to someone else in need. Each time, Oskar gives away his gift and each time he gets something else that he thinks will be perfect. Really sweet, especially with the setting in "olden days" Vienna.
