review 1: This is really not my kind of book. Essentially a religious thriller centering on the appearance of the Son of the Son of God. There was so much blending of fact and fiction that it was unsettling. In addition I had a hard time developing any sort of good feeling for the heroine who was forever making the wrong choice and had to be rescued by a variety of people with dubious standards of conduct. The book would have benefited by more editing. For a thriller there was tooo much time spent giving details unnecessary to the plot which sounded as if the author wanted her audience to appreciate the amount of research she had done.
review 2: i could not put it down despite it being slightly slow in some parts; i thought i had things figured out at times but by end i
... more was only partially correct; book is one in the realm of religious conspiracy but with some good humor and i mostly enjoyed the narrator; the book like many others in the same genre makes one pause on how one believes in one's faith and the power of organized religion; i'd recommend it for a quick weekend read...i enjoyed it but came away feeling it was "solved" too easily for the subject matter. less

Good suspenseful novel. Expected a little more from the ending though. I felt it abruptly stopped.
