review 1: This book may have not been a love triangle scenario but it did have that feel to it. Loralei & Declan were a sweet cute couple that were totally and utterly in love. Things may have not worked out how it was suppose to but Loralei just completely shut her love life down until she meet Jaxon. He was a big hot pierced tattooed hunk of man. Jaxon was running from something but he never revealed his past to Loralei until it creep up on him and reeked havoc on their relationship. Bad choices were made by both of them several times & things got sticky. I wasn't sure where Loralei's heart was I only hoped it was with Jason. There were some hot juicy sex scenes. Fabulous ending. Quote:"I wanted to lick his face. Something was definitely not right with me."
review 2: ... moreI couldn't finish. The narrator seemed way too childish to be 26 years old. There was no difference in maturity from the prologue to the present...and that's a 10 year difference! Her narration was very annoying so I quit reading. Also, the so called "humor" in this book seemed a bit forced. For example...in the beginning, Sammy asks Jaxon if his penis was pierced, ...really? He went from asking about his eyebrow and the next thing on this kid's mind is the guy penis and if it's pierced? I don't know any kid's mind that jumps to that, let alone at dinner in front of anyone. The kid is what...9 years old? I dunno....it didn't seem realistic and it felt like humor was being forced. less
