review 1: 3.5* rating. I enjoy LMR books, she always has a good plot to go with good characters. She did not disappoint this time. I loved Drake with the whole bad ass attitude with all the bodyguards, my kind of hero. Grace I also liked she did not run screaming and blaming Drake for all this in happening and generally giving him a hard time, which I like, she was strong and compassionate at the same time. But them again LMR writes her heroines well. Why I did not give this book a 5* rating was the end. Drake is supposed to be this bad ass dude with a dangerous past and present considering the work he is in, could not eliminate one man - Rutskoi trying to kill him and Grace. There was no mention of Drake even trying to find him and yet there is mention of what will happen if Drake ... morefinds him. Rutskoi seemed to have gotten the best of Drake and all Drake and Grace end up doing is running away, and the biggest sin of all, WITHOUT ALL THE MONEY IN THE SAFE!!!!!( there just is no justice). Blowing Rutskoi up is no ending at all and certainly not enough after all he did to them. I know I am a little blood thirsty but when are the good guys going to win, oh yes they don't the run away...... Another sore point for me was the traitor working for Drake. Drake does not even know about him while he uses Shota to his advantage. Drake knew that they had a traitor in his home and yet nothing got done about him. What happened to my bad ass Drake???? Again when do the good guys win!!!!Overall this is a good book but it could have been a great book. Unfortunately this is not a keeper for me and not one that I will recommend.
review 2: New to this writer and I am in love with her writing! This book was awesome. The story was great with the characters and the ending was all that it needed to be. Loved the hero. He was so intense and willing to give her room to make her decisions without him commanding her to. He stood in the elevator dripping pints of blood just so she would feel safe getting off of it of her own free will. He was like that through out the book. The heroine was a quiet and simple girl who takes charge when she needs to. No doormat, no whining, no me,me,me, just straight up great h. A must read! less

Very dark, intense and sexy. I have to give kudos to the author for bringing out a genuine fear reaction out of me. It's very rare that I was scared for the main characters' survival because I know they're going to make it. But this time, I was genuinely afraid for their lives. I know Drake and Grace are going to live happily ever after but the situation they're in especially given Drake's profession, just up the ante in the fight-for-their-lives department.

Very intense, very well-written, the author knows Drake profoundly right from the start and she drags the reader deep into his head and his heart. The Language she uses in doing so is beautiful, almost poetic at times. I enjoyed the first two novels of the series, found the first one entertaining, the second one absolutely brilliant in its beginning but with credibility issues in the central part. This was really good from beginning to end.

I didn't read past the first chapter. In my opinion, it didn't pick up quick enough.
