review 1: I was excited to read this 3rd book. It was a fast read for me and by the middle I was slightly disappointed that the curveballs or issues that were thrown at Leelee were just that, "thrown in". I am not familiar with laws about patents, but something about this just seemed very contrived. And the appearance of the ex- husband was just a Danielle Steele ploy. If it weren't for Leelee's friends I would have given up on this woman back in chapter 2.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. However, being a southern girl myself, I found Leelee excuse for her dependent behavior as being southern thing, offensive. I too am married to a "Yankee" , but the problems she faced with her boyfriend seemed a little forced and something that might have happened 100 years ago,
... more not this day and age. My friends and I can and will stand up for ourselves, even if we are not perceived as being "nice". less
