review 1: This collection of stories was wonderful. Although they were short stories I still enjoyed them a lot. All 3 about love enduring some difficult times. These authors are all great & I will definitely be looking for more of their writing. 1st....young writer down on her luck, meets Vegas hotel CEO. 2nd....young scientist with waning eyesight meets new friend on line at same time as falling for her Occupational Therapist. 3rd.....young school teacher meets a down on his luck CEO of a non-profit organization on New Years Eve. These are definite recommend to read stories.
review 2: This was not at all what I expected when I decided to read some shorties with a Christmas theme in between reads. First off, they weren't really all that short. They had a lot of pages an... mored a lot of story. The other part that knocked me off kilter, aside from the first story was that the other two did not "Heat up the Holidays" for me. They were sad. They made me not feel cheery and where they had some heat it just couldn't overcome the overwhelming feeling of grief I felt while reading them. So, the first one was a cutsey, steamy romance and I enjoyed it but the other two were truly deep stories with deep characters. Characters that were struggling with serious issues. I think I expected a light, steamy, dare I say fluffy compilation of stories to get me feeling in the spirit and that is not what I got. The stories were very good and very well written just not what I was looking for. less
