The Secret Life of Amy Bensen
review 1: This book was OK. I really tried to like it but it just didn't click. This again felt contrived and forced. The parts of the story that didn't go well with me was the relationship with the main characters. It bordered on abusive and the way in which the main male character reacted to situations regarding the main female character was just wrong. I could go on a tangent on flaws in this story but I will simply leave it at the fact that this was a worse read than the first one and that the last one offers improvement.2 stars
review 2: I LOVED IT!In true Lisa Renee Jones style, from start to finish I was sucked into Amy's world and placed on an emotional roller-coaster … I felt giddy, fear, happiness, sadness, anger and seduction (who wouldn't feel seduced readin
... moreg characters like Liam?) And a whole lot more while reading this book.... at one point I cried heartbroken tears (I should grab Kleenex when I read)I read into the middle of the night, I couldn't put it down … and I was left wide awake at the end wanting more! This book picked up where Escaping Reality left off … Amy on the run, AGAIN! Always running, she’s always hiding, this time from an unknown danger AND Liam … trying to stay alive and trying to find answersThis book is filled with suspense, intrigue and deception … who’s telling the truth, what’s going to happen next, who can she trust? The sexual connection between Amy and Liam is INTENSE! Can, will, or should Amy trust him? Amy’s blocked memories are coming back, sporadically and not with 100% clarity, leaving her with more questions and more determined to find the truth. What is it she can’t remember? What answers are in her hidden memory? There are twists and turns throughout this book that keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat!I can’t wait for the next book ... 'Forsaken' less
