review 1: I enjoyed this book much better than the first; the drama and the love really ramp up in this story. Sei is struggling to deal with trauma induced from the end of the last book, but this time we see the emotions, his reactions, his quest to save others from himself and I felt much more vested reading this one. I love Gabe, what a supportive, sweet and sexy vamp! I also liked Jamie, he was a protective, wonderful older brother, the kind we all wish we had. And a solid best friend, he may not be very exciting, but he’s there when Sei needs him. I liked this book, but have no interest in Kelly and Jamie, so I’m in no rush to read the next of the series, but I did enjoy the short stories in between!
review 2: Definite tear jerker. I won't say much, because I mu... morest hurry off to read the rest of the series, but I can safely say that I fell in love with this series, these characters, from the first line of Inheritance. I am completely consumed by Seiran's and Gabe's story. Beautifully written, with just enough to pizazz to keep it interesting, EXCELLENT character development--though their physical descriptions could be more clear--but this is definitely a keeper. This series (and author) are a sign that there is MUCH left to love of M/M Romance, especially of the paranormal genre. This book held everything I'd been looking for and more! Angst, broken boys, non-cliched vampires, and a supreme dose of witchly paranormalcy. CANNOT get enough. less
