review 1: I wasn’t expecting to love this book. I have read a Lissa Matthews story before and it didn’t sit well with me. It wasn’t badly written, I just didn’t like the characters and their extreme lack of inhibitions. But I am the first to state I am a moody bee with an itch when it comes to erotica. I need to be in the right naughty and dirty frame of mind.Anyway, enough rambling.I liked Carnal Ecstasy. I was definitely in the right mood for something dirty....and dirty is definitely what it was.I will never, ever look at a beer bottle or pool cue the same way again. EVER.The story was very masculine. A lot of male perspective and Dallon was 100% macho male. If you are looking for a soft and sweet, pretty boy, who is willing to wait for you to grow into your sexuality thi... mores is definitely not the book for you. However, if you like a confident, tattooed up, beast of a man that will push every one of your boundaries in the name of desire, then this may just be the book for you.**Side note – if you’re not a fan of foreign objects being placed into the temple of delight I would suggest hop, skipping and jumping away from this one.
review 2: If you're looking for a red-hot read, that is short on substance but long on kink, you found it. The H/h are uncomplicated characters and I knew what to expect. I'm not fond of commonplace items being used as sex toys because of the risk of injury. Because of that only three stars. Even though this is Book 2 of a series, it stands alone very well.
