review 1: Mon Avis :Je dois vous avouer que j'ai commencé à lire le tome 2 avant le tome 1.Pour vous dire que l'intrigue est limpide et très facile à suivre. J'ai absolument compris le déroulement de l'histoire, ses enjeux.Mais l'attraction des personnages n'était pas au rendez-vous !Le suspens et l'action sont bels et bien là, mais la fadeur des personnages m'a fortement déplut.Je n'ai pu m'ancrer dans le roman. J'ai éprouvé enfin de l'empathie vers la fin pour Callie et le jeune homme qui incarnat le Vieux, mais malheureusement ce fut tout.Pourtant, il y a eu un bel effort de mise en scène, d'enjeux. Un bel effort de démarcation avec l'aspect technologique, ethnique, la propriété des corps...Une remise en question donc sur notre rapport avec le corps et la génétiqu... moree, cela fut très divertissant et enrichissant.La fin en revanche est un peu décevante pour ma part, trop prévisible.Les problèmes sont les mêmes que dans la tome 1, d'où la courte chronique ci-contre.Ma Note : 3/5
review 2: FIRST THING FIRST What is wrong with goodreaders that review books lately? Is it a new trend to give such low rating & RANTING your shit out just because you dont like it? Calling writers stupid & boring just because their writings dont suit your taste? I remember when goodreads were really filled with readers & good critiques, not just some random readers with rants & swearing like they havent taught manners in their life.Try to write a single goodshort story then & tell me how AMAZING YOU ARE at writing. I'm just so tired of this so-called critiques who claimed they're tired of romance & dystopia & YA craps while all their shelves were filled with them. Such hypocrites.Now onto the reviews:Mind: blown.If only indo publishers weren't that much of a trend-followers, this book might've made it in Indonesia. The first book, Starter, flopped so hard I don't know why. It only sold at Rp 25k (approximately $2) &still laying around in stores. Therefore, the Indo publisher of this series, plotpoint, had confirmed to me that they wont be continuing the series.The whole story was good & i'm hooked so hard that i skipped sleep to finish this one. The plot twists, surprises, new characters etc were really great.The only minus was just the main character that happened to be a girl was that much of a "weak" girl whose heart can't afford to be broken over some small sacrifices. Which lead to stupid decisions & add up unnecessary dramas.But other than that, this was a great series. I had my time enjoyed. less
