Pawsitively Organic Mysteries
review 1: I really liked Kneading to Die, first in the Pawsitively Organic Mystery series. Liz Mugavero created a very likeable character in Stan (Kristan) Connor.Frog Ledge has plenty of unusual characters and Stan is new to the community. She finds the local vet murdered, setting off all kinds of gossip and rumors. Finding answers, to clear her name, is not easy, either.Stan makes healthy, organic pet treats (and food) for her cat, Nutty, and makes lots of new doggie friends...faster than human ones.I had not figured out the murderer...seems the vet had too many enemies...until the author revealed it.I look forward to reading the next book, in the series.
review 2: As a fan of cat mysteries, I am always pleased to find another series to my well loved list. This one w
... moreas a pleasant addition.Stan was a likeable character who is trying to pull her life together after a series of stressful changes in her life. She moves to the sleepy little village and soon is enmeshed in a murder for which she is one of the suspects. Her animal coterie is charming and she is a doggy magnet for the canine partner of the hunky local bartender. Her previous relationship is not going well so you know sparks will be flying. To complicate matters further, the local fuzz is the sister of said hunky bartender.Mixed in with this combination there is the troublesome mother, the quirky best friend and the new friends in the village and the erstwhile boyfriend who is, shall we say, less than supportive. It is a good recipe and it does not disappoint. As a further note, the second book of the series is just as good if not better but read this one first just to get the entire set up for the stories. less

This cosy mystery was slow to start but finally got moving. It definitely had a surprise ending.
