review 1: For whatever reason it has taken me quite a while to get around to reading this book. I thoroughly enjoyed Reinhardt's Brenna trilogy, so I can't imagine why. In any case, I'm glad I finally did it! I honestly expected something more along the lines of the aforementioned series, but - while still being beautifully and cleverly written - this novel is rather different from those books which I also loved. It is more dramatic and tragic while at the same time being beautiful and profound. I loved the relationship between Trinity and Aidin, and Trinity's entire journey to recover and figure out who she was. It was one of those rare books where, in spite of the protagonist pretty much having to go through hell, you still want to immerse yourself in her life for just a moment. I... moret is also a novel that is fairly long without ever seeming lengthy. And that alone is quite the accomplishment. It is a novel for readers who appreciate mature young adult drama - and don't mind having to step on an emotional roller coaster in order to get there ;)
review 2: Liz Reinhardt has done it again. "Forgiving Trinity" is one of those rare books that tackles a hard-hitting subject matter and delivers it in a very real and raw way and yet still somehow manages to intertwine just the perfect amount of humour. "At seventeen, Trinity McCabe has already made enough mistakes to fill a lifetime. Especially the one where she got high, drove a car, and almost killed a dog. And then let her friend Aidan take the blame. She’s clean now and desperate to fix the messes she’s made, but first she’s going to have to get out of her pajamas." With great writing and wonderful characters and a storyline that zigs just when you think it's going to zag, "Forgiving Trinity" is a slam-dunk. less

An enjoyable read, but does not compare to Double Clutch or Junk Miles!
