review 1: Quick easy and enjoyable read. Was it predictable and ridiculous - hell yes. Typical story telling using a method that is easily replicated. I found most of the storyline a sub-par addition to the romance story. I found myself skipping forward to the next interaction with Bulldog, which happened conveniently and often. So I enjoyed that but in all the book was an enjoyable but not-groundbreaking read.
review 2: Another nice piece of predictable chic lit. I really liked Gavin's character, who came through as a womaniser in the first book, Girl in the Steel Capped Boots, but turned out to be the love interest of Wendy "The Girl with the Hard Hat". You got to see another side of him (nice side) and delve into his past. I liked Wendy's history also, that was more... more enjoyable than Lena's history in the first book. The only thing I didn't like was that Wendy was supposed to be portrayed as a really tough chic being a safety officer in a world full of men but she was constantly "wringing her hands" which made her seem pathetic. Really enjoyed this book, will look out for more from this author. less
